Function
How does the brush work in a filtration?
If users don’t have a pre-filter or wet/dry separation, or precipitate chamber in the sump, then the filter brush will be of great help.
In the sump, the filter brushes are put in the first chamber. When water is sucked up into the filtration chamber, the filter brush helps block up fish waste and food waste, which will be trapped into filaments along with the water current. Thus, it allows the biochemical filtration to work better.

Why cross-shaped?
Thanks to its tough surface, even tiny decomposed waste can be also trapped. The x-cross shape structure increases the surface of the single thread considerably, also creates at least 4 times adherability as much as the single thread does.
Usage
Direction of Use
1.Rinse with water before putting the brush in the tank.
2.Brushes can be placed in the overflow filtration of aquarium sump, side filtration, mechanical chamber, etc.
3.Install Mountain Tree Filter Brush straightly in the box to ensure that brushes it totally sinks in water.
Maintenance
How to maintain the brush?
1.We suggest the Mountain Tree star filter brush should be cleaned once half a year. It depends on the size of your tank and pond.
2.When a significant amount of waste has built up on the brushes, it should be flushed away.
3.Keep an eye on it every month and the frequency depends on the size of your tank or pond.

Things need attention
What I should pay attention to when I use this product?
1 When being used, the filter brush should be fully submerged under water and well covered, to avoid direct sunlight or UV lighting.
2 When the water temperature is close to 0 degree Celsius or below, please do not move or clean the filter brush.
3 The filter brush should not be used under strong acid or strong alkali to avoid corroding and damaging the steel wire of the brush. It is not recommended to use the filter brush in sea water filtration system.
4 Maintenance: Except the low temperature environment that mentioned above, the spiral filter mat can be cleaned with low-pressure water nozzle.
